If a mobile phone has got GPRS, does it mean it can be used for MMS and image or music downloading?
GPRS does not automatically imply the device also supports the MMS messaging standard. There are GPRS devices which do not support MMS (actually that's the case for most GPRS enabled devices in use today). What one can also say is that the GSM/MMS devices offered today all support GPRS as well. MMS is pretty independent of the underlying bearer, be it GPRS, GSM-Data, or CDMA etc. Of course one does not strictly need MMS for image and music download. This type od multimedia content could be accessed also through a WAP browser, or by a Java application running on the mobile device.
