JMS vs. JAXM

Could you elaborate strong points in favor of JAXM? Could JMS and JAXM be used together?
JMS provides a framework and APIs for handling publish/subscribe and peer-to-peer messages. JAXM provides a framework and APIs for handling document-oriented XML messages. Therefore, if you have a need for asynchronous or peer-to-peer messaging with document-oriented XML as the payload, JAXM with JMS is a very good solution. JAXM would be used to package the XML content and JMS would be used to transport the XML content.
