Open source SOI server released by Indigo

Indigo Technology Partners has released an open source service-oriented integration server that hosts virtual service containers that authorize, monitor, manage and run a group of Web services.

Indigo Technology Partners Inc., Skillman, N.J., on Monday released an open source service-oriented integration server that hosts virtual service containers that authorize, monitor, manage and run a group of Web services.

S-integrator is a Java-based solution licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). It has an embedded Web server for Web and wireless administration. "Service stores" hosted by S-integrator are configured similarly to Web applications and service descriptions can be in WSDL or native S-integrator XML format, Indigo said.

S-integrator includes listeners and inbound adapters that expose services through SOAP, HTTP and other protocols. It also includes outbound adapters that integrate databases, mainframes (APPC), Web servers, FTP, mail and other technologies. Hot deployment and a client API are also featured.
