WRQ joins Microsoft Visual Studio program

Integration vendor WRQ joined the Visual Studio Industry Partner program, giving .NET developers access to legacy data via WRQ.

WRQ Inc., an application-integration software vendor based in Seattle, announced that it has joined the Visual Studio Industry Partner program. Developers programming on Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET 2003 may now access legacy components exposed by WRQ's Verastream host integration server.

WRQ also announced that it would support the unreleased Visual Studio 2005.

Verastream, which recently was equipped with an interface for the new Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, gives developers the ability to deploy new IT initiatives like Web services from legacy applications.

WRQ said its Microsoft customers can now lower the cost of application development by eliminating hand coding.

Verastream offers full support for .NET with a full framework API, BizTalk 2004 integration, a Web services generator, design tools that automate the process of exposing legacy applications as a set of reusable services and event handlers.
